Aberdeen

Aberdeen is an intimate music theatre performance with cello, electronics, found sounds and live video. A collaboration between cellist Sonia Cromarty and composer David Fennessy, it explores memory, place and family ties through the deeply personal story of the instrument being played — a cello built in part by Sonia’s father. Presented for one night only at the Fruitmarket as part of Magnetic North’s 25th anniversary celebrations, the piece was developed in partnership with Magnetic North and premiered at Spitalfields Festival.
